Dundalk Credit Union Student Innovation Fund
Encouraging students to look at starting a business is all well and good, however, being able to provide some seed capital or financial assistance to promising projects would fill a component that has been missing from the programme up to now.
StudentEnterprise@DkIT in Association with Dundalk Credit Union have developed a Business Innovation Fund valued at €15,000. Successful Projects will receive a voucher of €600 (or exceptionally €1000) for prototyping,
market research, etc.

Student Business Launch
Francis Gorman (BAVF Student Year 2) launches his business, 'Join The Cue'. He developed the company while studying in DkIT, to give everyone in the film, television, theatre, modelling, media and creative arts industry an outlet to meet. Join The Cue was designed as a recruitment, advertising and networking site for individuals in these industries.

Newstalk
The first round of the Newstalk student enterprise competition will be launched this Thursday at 1pm in the Whitaker theatre. A representative from Newstalk and also last years finalists will talk to students about the competition and more importantly the prizes. Last year a group from DKIT came second in the national final and we are confident in sending a group all the way to the Caribbean this year.
Cross faculty or cross discipline teams always perform well at student enterprise events and competitions.Anybody who needs to be put in touch with students from other schools in order to form cross faculty teams, get in touch and let us know, we can make arrangements for any students
